Facilities Maintenance (FM) Service for satellite renal dialysis units and kidney treatment centres

Until recently, Renal Healthcare Services Ltd specialised in providing FM services to satellite renal dialysis units and kidney treatment centres. Situated in the community, these centres are run by both NHS Trusts and Private Providers.

Having designed and built over 20 such satelite renal units during the period 2005 – 2015, we were best placed to offer the following services:-

1) scheduling of all planned service and maintenance visits as per the list below
2) response to emergency calls for immediate assistance for items such as power outages, water leaks, blocked toilets, broken door locks etc
3) response to non emergency calls such as a dripping tap, a flickering light, rubbing doors and loose door handles etc
4) planned remedial works and redecorations such as installing new equipment and machinery, refitting kitchens, new flooring, installation of wall protection and general painting and carpentry

Re item 1) above, our scheduled planned FM would include but is not limited to:-

  • Heating, Ventilation and Cooling (Air/Con) systems
  • Gas boilers and central heating systems
  • Hot water heaters and Megaflows
  • Patient lifts and disabled platform lifts
  • Fire Alarm systems
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Intruder Alarm systems
  • CCTV and Door Entry systems
  • Auto-opening front doors
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Hot drinks boilers
  • Ice machines
  • Macerators
  • Domestic hot and cold Water testing and sampling
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
  • Pure Water Ring Main and Waste Pipe leak checks
  • Nurse Call systems

However, this part of our business has been in decline since many Trusts sought to outsource this function to large National FM Providers. We found ourselves squeezed out of the marketplace where our bespoke, personal and tailored service was no-longer valued nor required.

Therefore, since 2015 we have concentrated our effects on providing Home Dialysis Installations, where a personal service is more appreciated. But we retain the knowledge, know-how and experience, so please feel free to contact us if you think we can be of any service to you.
